On Friday morning I met the Exhibitions Manager of the National Maritime Museum. I was also supposed to meet the Exhibitions Curator but unfortunately they couldn’t make it.
The meeting itself was very helpful. We talked through general points like the process every exhibition must go through to change from an idea to reality, how to structure the content of an exhibition and how to consider any objects that may be on display, as well as more specific points like budget, target audience and international visitor needs (i.e. translations).
I now have a lot to consider and far more detailed information to use during the development process!
